He doesn't have the dexterity in his injured and to run all the switches and nobs in an F-1 cockpit. There are too many controls for one hand. I really like Robert and would love to see it happen, but I don't think it is likely for competition. Maybe demo runs.

I'd love him to come back, but it's his injury that's preventing it.

I remember seeing an interview with him where he explained that the narrowness of the current F1 cockpit makes it impossible for him to use the wheel properly. He's ok in a WRC car, or pretty much anything else, but he can't manage an F1 car.

Maybe WEC but not F1. He would do quite good in WEC.

Yet..

I know it's unlikely, but I can hope right? He did do some simulator test with Mercedes (I believe) last year/earlier this year.

He has definitely not given up hopes of returning yet.
